Hell yes Hell No Culling to Live Happily Ever After

The HELL YES and HELL NO list idea comes from an amazing life coach Rich Livtin.

I don’t know if it was his idea or if he got it from someone else, but it is awesome, so I want to share it with you today.

  1. There are things in life that fill you with energy and there are things in life that drain you of energy.
  2. There are people in life that fill you with energy and there are people in life that drain you of energy.
  3. There are places in life that fill you with energy and there are places in life that drain you of energy.
  4. And there are habits in your life that fill you with energy and others that drain you of energy!

Are You Aware Of How You Are Feeling?

Most of the time we move through life unaware of how we are feeling. We don’t take the emotional temperature of our mental wellness.

We bump into people on our journey and just react to how others are feeling.

If they are happy and smiling, we feel good and smile back. We all know laughter and a good smile is contagious. This contagiousness effect is what gives comedians their livelihood.

Have you ever heard of laughter therapy?

Well this is very effective because laughter and joy is one of the highest vibrating emotions. It FEELS awesome to have a good laugh. Just tickle your kids when you need a pick me up and tell me you all don’t feel better afterwards.

We also bump into people and can be drawn into negative conversations and be drained of energy, without even realising it is happening.

The content of what is being spoken about is either: negative, pessimistic, comparative or hurtful; or it is hopeful, appreciative, kind, loving or optimistic.

The content is reflective of what we are thinking about, so we need to be more aware of our thoughts and the conversations we are being drawn into.

How We Are Feeling Is Directly Related To How We Are Thinking

Most of the time we move through life thinking unconsciously – unaware of how our thoughts are attracting more thoughts and situations to us that either serve us by making us feel good, or harm us by making us feel low.

This is where the Hell Yes and Hell No list can serve us.

It makes us start to really think about what is draining us of energy and what is filling us up with energy.

When we make a conscious effort to spend more of our time doing the things we love and spending more time with people who fill us with energy, life will start to get better.

Let’s start the culling!

So get out a pen and paper, draw a line down the centre of the page and at the top, write HELL YES on one side and HELL NO on the other side.

Start writing a list of all the things, people, places and habits that fill you with energy and all the things, people, places and habits that drain you of energy.

Then start to DO more of the things, people, places and habits that fill you with energy… It is that easy!

Happy. Forever. After. My dream for YOU.

How did your HELL NO – HELL YES list turn out? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
